Pin Up Biro Sketches [Dec. 2nd, 2010|02:11 am]

Potential T-shirt design. Not sure if American Racing Wheels would sue, though.

If you click on them you can see high res versions, if any talented inkers with maybe something that vectors lines like flash or Illustrator and  would like to Ink them, that'd be ace, but also just to show in detail how sloppily I sketch.

Dunno why I'm drawing weirdly proportioned girls like this, but it's just fun and easy to sketch this stuff. Sketching with a ball-point pen and drawing ladies are my favourite way to draw. I've tried to make a brush in photoshop to emulate the biro pen to no avail, whch sucks cause to clean up stuff like this means having to lightbox them, or painstakingly go over it in photoshop and either way, I'm terrible at inking.

Sketch collage [Nov. 18th, 2010|01:10 am]
While watching Return To Oz, I did some sketches of what my Oz team would look like. I didn't really draw Dorothy cause drawing little girls is boring.

At one point I entertained the thought of retelling classic stories in comic book form, like Little Red Riding Hood, the Wizard of Oz and stuff like that, but i don't have the skill, patience, or enthusiasm for it. I just like doing character designs.

So for whatever reason, I decided to do this. Kids, don't do this. It's a bad idea.

Apologies for the lighting, sound, the bird outside, and rambling on for far too long.

For the few of you possibly interested in seeing how it's going.
Way too long I know, I was rambling.

More sketches again [Jul. 29th, 2010|03:17 am]
While my internerds was down, I turned to my sketchbook for companionship and doodled as usual. It's almost full, so time to get a new one and start again. Which reminds me, I'm gonna start pulling out all my old sketch books and chuck em all out. I must have a pile at least a meter tall.

mini bat-bust [Jun. 18th, 2010|06:09 pm]
I have 2 kilos of plasticine now, so naturally there will be batmans. This is just me dicking around with with a piece as soon as I opened one of the packs. Lost track of time doing it, spent a couple of hours with it. I love plasticine and bought this stuff to get back into the swing of sculpting again. I'll buy the proper materials to make more permanant stuff later.

Scaled up of this, now internet famous, single panel, no one wants context for.
